Fannett Teen Injured in Accidental Shooting

This afternoon, 02/04/2020, at 3:48 p.m., Deputies responded to a 911 call in reference to an accidental shooting in the 19000 block of Burrell-Wingate in Fannett. A 15 year old male advised that he had been out near a pond on family property when a dog jumped up onto his ATV knocking over his 22 rifle causing it to discharge. The bullet struck the teen causing a non-life threatening injury. The teen was able to use his cell phone to call for assistance. He was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
