Two Arrested in an Undercover Narcotics Sting

On Thursday Evening, 05/02/2019 The Jefferson County Narcotics Task Force conducted a narcotics operation in the parking lot of the Fuel Maxx, 15239 Hwy 90. After a 2 month investigation, a JCNTF undercover Investigator posed as a narcotics dealer and arranged to help distribute a large amount of meth. At 5:30 p.m. the undercover narcotics Investigator met with the two suspects in the parking lot who delivered to the undercover investigator 597 grams of Meth. The two suspects were arrested in the parking lot. 597 grams of meth, cash, a loaded gun and the suspect’s vehicle was seized. The suspects are identified as 30 year old Ashilyn Martin of Beaumont and 24 year old Kyler Kirkland of Beaumont. Both were booked into the Jefferson County Detention Facility on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon.
