Louisiana Murder Suspect Captured in Beaumont

Jefferson Davis Parrish Sheriff's Office notified local law enforcement agencies that a murder suspect may be in the Beaumont area. The suspect, David Wade Clark, age 29 of Topsy, Louisiana was wanted for 1st degree murder charges for the August 10th, 2018 death of Devin Marc Sanders,33, of 267 Leyoub Road, Topsy, LA. This afternoon at 1:15 p.m. a JCSO Interdiction Unit observed a Red Ford F-150 Truck with Louisiana tags on IH East bound near Hwy 365. When Deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on the truck near Ford Park, it fled East on IH10 taking the Calder exit. The truck fled through a nearby neighborhood before losing Deputies near Laurel and IH10. Deputies and Beaumont Police Officers searched several different areas of Beaumont and during that time, Clark was spotted walking on 11th street @ College Street, near HEB. He was quickly arrested. About the same time, the JCSO Helicopter Pilots spotted the suspect vehicle at a small apartment complex in the 4100 block of Calder. The red F150 was seized and taken to a secured lot. It was reported that another W/M had been in the truck with Clark. LE Authorities continued the search and at 5:53 p.m. Deputies arrested the second suspect near the 4100 block of Calder. Jefferson Davis Parrish Investigators are now here in Beaumont. The investigation continues and updates will be made by Jefferson Davis Parrish Sheriff's Office. #OneCountyOneCommunity
