Two Men Arrested on Narcotics Charges

On Wednesday, 05/16/2018 at 3:30 p.m., Jefferson County Narcotics Task Force Investigators were conducting a narcotics surveillance when they stopped a black Chevrolet truck near the area of Jimmy Johnson and 9th Avenue in Port Arthur. The K-9 Narcotics Dog from Port Neches PD assisted on the traffic stop. After a positive alert to drugs, a search of the vehicle was conducted and drugs were found. The two male subjects were arrested. At the same time, Narcotics and SWAT Officers were conducting a Search Warrant for a storage shed at Dubois’ home in the 7200 block of Royal Meadows in Port Arthur. The Port Neches K-9 responded to that location as well and discovered ½ a pound of Meth inside a safe along with a handgun. 37 year old Chad Dubois of Port Arthur was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 35 year old Carlos Valerio of Beaumont was charged with Possession of Marijuana. We appreciated the assistance from Port Neches PD Officer Heilman and his K-9 as well as the many calls from vigilant citizens who are concerned about the safety of their community. We are committed to making our neighborhoods safe from Drugs and the other related crimes that it brings. #OneCountyOneCommunity
