Narcotics and Firearms Charges

Last night, 05/14/2018 around 11:00 p.m., Deputies with the Jefferson County Narcotics Task Force were conducting surveillance on a known Meth dealer when they stopped a green Honda passenger car on Hwy 73 near Big Hill. The two occupants were identified as Jose White and Buster Kay. White, the owner of the car, gave Deputies consent to search the car. Deputies discovered 28.33 grams of Meth concealed under the hood. A loaded Taurus revolver was located inside the car. Both White and Kay are convicted Felons. 39 year old LaBelle resident Buster Hawk Kay was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. 39 year old Port Arthur resident Jose Hugo White was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
