Three People Charged With Narcotics Violations

On 04/26/2018, The Jefferson County Narcotics Task Force, ATF and Beaumont PD Patrol Officers conducted a surveillance at a local motel in Beaumont that was related to Narcotics violations. At approximately 6:30 p.m. a Gray Nissan car was observed exiting the parking lot of the Travel Inn, 2690 IH10 Bmt., Tx. The car was displaying an expired registration sticker and was stopped by Beaumont PD. The driver, Robyn Tanton, was found to have traffic violation warrants and was arrested. During the search, it was then discovered that Tanton had Dilaudid pills in her purse and was in possession of methamphetamine. The two male passengers were removed from the car and during a pat down a syringe fell from the pants leg of Joshua Mullins. The second passenger was identified as Rocky Murphy. Officers discovered a cigarette pack inside the car that was found to contain 14 grams of methamphetamine. All three subjects were arrested and transported to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility where they were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Tanton was charged with an additional Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Dilaudid.
