Subject Arrested in Bevil Oaks

Date: 31-21-2018 Subject: Subject Arrested In Bevil Oaks Yesterday, 03-20-2018 at 1:09 p.m., Deputies were dispatched to the 13000 block of Thousand Oaks, Bevil Oaks in reference to a suspicious white male in a maroon Dodge Charger. The suspect, later identified as 36 year old Karl Phillip Galland of LaCombe, Louisiana was caught by deputies as he was parked on the side of the detached garage at the residence. Deputies saw items that appeared to have been stacked inside the garage. The realtor and a contractor had just left the property. The suspect had stopped by when they were viewing the property but had left. Apparently, he doubled back around. After contacting the realtor, it was discovered that he did not have permission to be on the property. Galland was arrested for Trespassing. While searching Galland, Deputies found a Jefferson County ESD1 Credit Card that had been reported missing in January while Firefighters were fueling up at a local business. Once at the jail, Galland was found to be in Possession of Hydrocodone. He faces charges of Criminal Trespass and Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility. The case of the stolen Credit Card is pending. We would like to thank the original caller who is a Contractor working with his crew in Bevil Oaks. We encourage everyone to remain vigilant and if you see something suspicious, notify us immediately. #OneCountyOneCommunity
