Woman Arrested While Bringing Narcotics Into A Federal Correctional Facility

Date: 08-12-2017 Subject: Woman Arrested While Bringing Narcotics Into A Federal Correctional Facility During an Investigation this morning around 8:40 a.m., JCSO Narcotics Officers received information that a female was going to deliver Narcotics into the Federal Complex on Knauth Rd. Narcotics Investigators located the suspect vehicle in the parking lot of the prison. Two females exited the vehicle and entered into the visitor’s area of the Prison. They were questioned and one of the females admitted that she had secreted balloons containing Black Tar Heroin and two strips of Suboxone (used to treat opiate addiction) inside her body. A thorough search was conducted of the female. Female Corrections officers located 3 grams of Heroin and Suboxone stored in balloons. The other woman checked out and was released. The 32 year old female from San Antonio was arrested and booked into the Jefferson County Jail on the charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Contraband inside a Correctional Facility. The vehicle was searched with the assistance of Nederland PD K-9. The vehicle was then released to the other female.
