D.A.R.E.

Mission Statement: Jefferson County Sheriff's Office D.A.R.E. Deputies will provide a structured classroom curriculum with pride and professionalism to all the students they instruct.

D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) is a cooperative effort between the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and area school districts. It is a 17-week classroom curriculum teaching youth in fifth and sixth grades, as well as junior high and high school students why they should refuse alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, and to resist violence. D.A.R.E. is a working partnership between parents, students, schools, and law enforcement.
