Mission Statement: Jefferson County Sheriff's
Office D.A.R.E. Deputies will provide a structured classroom
curriculum with pride and professionalism to all the students
they instruct.
D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) is a cooperative
effort between the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and
area school districts. It is a 17-week classroom curriculum
teaching youth in fifth and sixth grades, as well as junior
high and high school students why they should refuse alcohol,
tobacco, and other drugs, and to resist violence. D.A.R.E.
is a working partnership between parents, students, schools,
and law enforcement.
