The Jefferson County, Texas Bail Bond Board is responsible for licensing and regulating surety companies (bail bondsmen) operating in Jefferson County, Texas in accordance with Chapter 17.04 of the Texas Occupations Code. A bail bondsman must be licensed in Jefferson County before they can secure bail for persons incarcerated in a Jefferson County jail facility.
