Hot Check Division

The Jefferson County Criminal District Attorney’s Office Hot Check Division offers a service to the merchants and citizens of Jefferson County to assist them in the collection of hot checks. This is a free service extended to the citizens of Jefferson County. The Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office makes every effort in its endeavor to collect on returned checks.

The Jefferson County District Attorney’s Hot Check Division is located at 1001 Pearl Street in downtown Beaumont. We are on the third floor of the new courthouse. Our phone number is 409-835-8568. Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (open during lunch) Monday through Friday.
